Delmanor Northtown Chef Delights with Culinary Demonstration

Delmanor Northtown residents were given the opportunity to see their Chef Divakar Raju – who many residents refer to simply as “D” in action!

Chef “D” prepared a new item that will soon appear on the menu for them for the first time. It was an Atlantic Salmon with a Maple Mustard Glaze.

Not only did he prepare it fresh for the residents, but he spent time chatting to the seniors about the nature of the fish, his family’s first personal experiences with maple syrup in Canada and other ideas behind the recipe.

Residents enjoyed spending time with Chef “D” in an atmosphere that highlighted his skills as a Chef, enjoyed his company as he cooked, and most of all enjoyed sampling the delicious food once he plated a sample for each of them to try. After the plates were left bare, many of the residents said that they hope to do it again soon – “and next time”, Chef “D” joked to the group as they were leaving “you will bring the wine, right?”
