Living Well Lecture Series with Carole Bertuzzi

Delmanor Elgin Mills was host to the very popular Living Well Lecture Series as Carole Bertuzzi came to enlighten the seniors with her very popular presentation.

Carole has been giving motivational speeches or "moodivational" speeches as she likes to call them since 1986 when she became CBL Presentations.

As a part of the Living Well Lecture Series, Carole the "Moodivator" inspired the residents with her combination of mood (frank, festive & funny) along with life enhancing motivation.

The lecture was very well received by the seniors who all claimed to thoroughly enjoy the experience.

Delmanor Wynford "Knit Wits" Donate Teddy Bears to Children & Seniors in Africa

The Delmanor Wynford "Knit Wits" generously donated fifteen handcrafted teddy bears to a group of volunteers travelling overseas to Africa.

As a result, the volunteers were able to disperse the teddy bears to children and seniors living in orphanages and shelters in Uganda.

The "Knit Wits" have been busy knitting throughout the summer working on many projects.  Upon hearing about the opportunity to have teddy bears sent overseas to children and seniors in Africa, each member of the club took time away from personal projects to focus on knitting teddy bears.

Limited by space in the volunteer suitcases, the "Knit Wits" were able to donate 15 cute and cuddly teddy bears.

The children and seniors in Uganda were overjoyed by the kind donation.  The children spent the afternoon playing with their new teddy bears while the seniors enjoyed watching the children so happy and having a cuddly companion.
