Delmanor Prince Edward's Irish Dance Celebration!

Residents and Guests of Delmanor Prince Edward celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with an authentic Celtic lunch. During the afternoon, they were entertained by  traditional Irish dancing performed by students from Johnson Irish Dance School.

The Irish step-dance is a style of performance dance with its roots in traditional Irish culture. It is generally characterized by a stiff upper body and the quick and precise movements of the feet. It can be performed solo or in groups.

The costumes worn by the Irish dancers commemorated the clothing of the past. Dresses were based on the Irish peasant dress worn over two hundred years ago.  All of the Prince Edward residents loved the energy and enthusiasm of the dancers and their wonderful dance production.
