Delmanor Glen Abbey Giving Support to Local Charities

With each of the fun and exciting community events held at Delmanor Glen Abbey throughout 2014, friends from the community were given the opportunity to make small donations to help support the Ian Anderson House in Oakville.

The Ian Anderson House is Ontario's first in-resident cancer hospice that provides care to palliative patients that can not be cared for in their own homes.  The House is designed to create a home like and safe environment where residents receive around the clock care.

Staying true to the philosophies of hospice, the Ian Anderson House offers care and support to patients and their families without charge.  In order to continue to offer these much needed services, the House relies on donations from individuals, fund raisers and local businesses.

Delmanor Glen Abbey is pleased to support this extremely beneficial care facility and they have shown that small donations throughout the year can really add up!  Heidi Harrington, Lead Volunteer and Events Coordinator for Ian Anderson House was pleased to accept this donation in the amount of $1,525 and expressed her gratitude on behalf of the foundation to the residents and staff of Delmanor Glen Abbey for hosting these community fund raising events.
