Seniors Making a Difference in York Region!

Residents and staff of Delmanor Elgin Mills, along with 2 other retirement residences in South York Region, have been working together to present "These Boots are Made for Walking" Vintage Fashion Show at the Thornill Golf and Country Club.

Proceeds from this exceptional fundraising event have been donated to 'Mosaic Interfaith - Out of the Cold."  This initiative has been created to give seniors the opportunity to actively participate as models in a vintage fashion show, while helping those less fortunate in their local community.

The Mosaic Interfaith "Out of the Cold" Program provides safe refuge, warm hospitality and emergency shelter in York Region for the homeless, or those in need of food and clothing.  The Shelters are operated by Interfaith Communities ( Churches, temples & Synagogues) on different nights of the week during the coldest months of the year from November to March.  The Delmanor Elgin Mills residents were very happy to participate in this event and look forward to working with others in their local community to help those that may benefit from the support.

If you would like to learn more about how you can contribute to this initiative or if you would like to learn more about retirement living at Delmanor Elgin Mills, please contact Susan Applebaum, Marketing & Community Relations Manager at (905) 770-7963, or online at delmanor.com
