Delmanor Glen Abbey Residents Learn to Fly!

Who hasn't dreamed at some point in their lives about what it would be like to fly?

The fascination with human flight has been limited to the relatively new technology of air line travel or sky diving.  The desire to fly has intrigued thrill seekers throughout history, and now, with the use of a wind tunnel, participants are being introduced to the sport of Indoor Skydiving with rapid popularity.   Indoor skydiving provides the experience of flying, without the fear of jumping from a plane or falling out of the sky.

The excited residents of Delmanor Glen Abbey got a first hand look at this exciting new sport at iFly Toronto.  Delmanor Glen Abbey team member Vanessa jumped at the opportunity to do a demonstration for the seniors and experience indoor sky diving herself!

The Delmanor seniors cheered Vanessa on while she was suited up, trained and then propelled into the air from the gusting winds of the wind tunnel.  The entire process was truly remarkable to witness!  With the use of wind tunnels, people can now experience what was once believed to be impossible.
