Celebrating Olympic Spirit at Delmanor Glen Abbey

There are few more honorable opportunities to represent your country and instill pride and achievement than being an Olympic torch bearer.

Arnold Huffman visited Delmanor Glen Abbey to share his experience as a torch bearer at the Vancouver Olympic games in 2010.  Being a local leader for over 20 years, Arnold has devoted his life to community service.  In recognition of this commitment, he was selected as a 2010 Olympic Torch bearer.

Arnold is an immensely proud Canadian and he called this honour 'the greatest day of his life".  Arnold shared his story with the Delmanor Glen Abbey residents and reflected back on his experience with them.  Wonderful pictures were on display along with his Olympic torch and uniform.

The Delmanor Glen Abbey seniors passed the Olympic torch from resident to resident, symbolizing the historic journey taken by proud Canadians.
