Painting & Pottery at Delmanor Northtown

Delmanor Northtown welcomed a pottery and painting art session where residents were given the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and take part in a hands-on learning experience.

More and more seniors are discovering the rewards of finding a new hobby or rediscovering a pleasurable pastime from their past.  Many crafts are suitable for a wide range of abilities; seniors can choose the ones they find most comfortable or best suited to their skill and experience level.

Projects that involve working with clay are an excellent choice for seniors who suffer from limited dexterity in their fingers and hands.  Many seniors find that as they work to soften the clay, they also exercise their hands and fingers, while creating interesting objects.

The Northtown residents were working on their brush and painting techniques in the relaxing environment of home, while creating great gifts and keepsakes to treasure.  The session was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who participated since it was geared to every craft level, from beginners to the more advanced.
