Richmond Hill's 50th Annual Volunteer Appreciation Awards!

The Richmond Hill Community, Councilors, Mayor Dave Barrow, and many invited guests, gathered together at the Richmond Hill Centre For Performing Arts for the 50th Annual Richmond Hill Volunteer Appreciation Awards.
This annual event was established to recognize residents of Richmond Hill who have made an extraordinary commitment of time to volunteerism.

All of the amazing volunteers

Delmanor Elgin Mills resident Lois Anderson, along with 9 others, were honoured with an award for their outstanding contributions to the Community. Hosted by Mayor Dave Barrow, prominent members of the Richmond Hill community joined together for this gala event. It was a beautiful ceremony where each recipient was brought forward to receive their accolades.

Lois receiving her award

Lois Anderson, a volunteer at York Central hospital for the past 44 years, was acknowledged by Councilor Vito Spatafora. Aside from her hospital work, she is also a volunteer at Delmanor Elgin Mills. She is a resident ambassador, welcoming new residents to the retirement community. She is also a member of the General Store Committee, where she helps to run, stock and take inventory of the tuck shop. Lois is an amazing woman and well deserving of this prestigious award.
Congratulations Lois!
