Northtown Residents Enjoy Cooking Demonstration Given by Chef Divakar Raju

After the success of his first cooking demonstration at Delmanor Northtown over a month ago, Chef Divakar Raju and the residents who attended realized that not only was it a great opportunity for him to spend time sharing his culinary skills, but it was also a great way for them to spend some time getting to know each other on a personal level.

This time, Chef treated the residents to another great dish that will appear on a special occasion menu in the near future.

The “Spinach & Goat Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast with Sun dried Tomato and Pearl Onion Sauce” is a recipe that Divakar created and has always enjoyed serving. The sauce made with sun dried tomatoes, pickled pearl onions, heavy cream and just a few spices compliments the chicken and goat cheese beautifully, and adds a lot of flavour to the dish.

Residents enjoyed sampling the dish and spending the afternoon with Chef “D” in the Mitchell Room hobby kitchen where the cooking program took place. In fact, some of the residents liked the food so much they asked for the recipe after their very first bite – but not for themselves of course, they have retired from cooking now that they live at Delmanor Northtown. They leave that task to Chef Divakar and his culinary team. The seniors intend to give the recipe to their children in hopes that they might get to have the dish again when visiting family!
Sounds like a great idea!

Garnishing is very important to Chef D
