Delmanor Glen Abbey Visits the Avro Arrow

The residents of Delmanor Glen Abbey were honoured to visit the Canadian Air & Space Museum at Downsview Airport on March 2nd for a private tour lead by John Harper and a chance to sit in an Avro Arrow mock plane.

Residents with Avro Arrow

All of the seniors attending, have lived through the development of the Avro Arrow; the advanced supersonic, twin-engined, all weather jet aircraft, developed in 1949 until its controversial cancellation in 1959. This was a thrilling event that brought back many memories and much Canadian pride to the Delmanor Residents.
