The residents of Delmanor Wynford brought new life to the retirement community with an inspiring project that brought much joy, contentment and pride to the seniors. Delmanor Wynford constructed "Wynford Farm" through the usually dreary months of January and February.

The farm began with an incubator and one dozen eggs from a local farm. Residents were responsible for turning the eggs several times a day and monitoring the temperature of the incubator. After 21 days, to the excitement of the devoted participants, the eggs began to hatch. The 10 little bundles of fluff were welcomed to the world by the ecstatic residents, families, staff & guests. After the chicks hatched, residents were responsible for feeding, watering and cleaning the chicks on a daily basis. As the chicks left the newborn care of the Delmanor Wynford residents, they were returned to the farm where they will have more space in order to grow. This heart warming project brought all of the seniors together during the cold winter months.
