Delmanor Wynford Residents Donate to Christmas Charity

A group of talented seniors at Delmanor Wynford; proudly known as the "Knit Wits", meet weekly to knit, chat, share patterns and happily display their creations.

This is a busy time of year for the Knit Wits, that have been working tirelessly for the past several months knitting mittens, hats, dish cloths, socks, robes, Afghans and baby attire, to raise money for the Toronto Firefighters Annual Christmas Toy Drive.

The "Mitten Master" Resident, June Saito

The Delmanor Wynford Tuck Shop is a busy place where all of the knitted items are flying off of the shelves by residents, staff, volunteers and families who all wish to support this very worthy cause. Currently the Knit Wits have sold more than $100 worth of knitted merchandise and hope to sell much more before Christmas, in order to purchase more toys for needy local children. The Toronto Firefighters will visit Delmanor Wynford to collect all of the toys and monies raised for this local charity.

Special thanks go to the very generous members of the Knit Wits who donated their time and talents to support this annual charity.
