Delmanor Glen Abbey Honours our Veterans

Delmanor Glen Abbey has honoured our Canadian War Veterans with a recent event that brought the retirement community together to give thanks.

On November 1st the Oakville Convention Centre housed and catered a special veterans lunch that was hosted by Medichair Halton's Kristin & David Courtney. This was the 9th annual event that brought together over 750 veterans and their spouses including 10 of Delmanor Glen Abbey's very own resident veterans. Delmanor felt very privileged to be attending and sponsoring this very meaningful day.

The memorial luncheon was attended by former CTV Weatherman Dave Duvall, that spoke in honour of veterans, past and present. He was joined by retired hockey player Paul Henderson that said Grace for the attendees. Kristen & David were invited to Ottawa by the Govenor General for lunch to thank them for their commitment to our war veterans. It was a very proud day for all of the seniors who attended and the younger generations that were privileged to share in this special day.
