The Delmanor Chef Challenge!

The Delmanor Chef Challenge Event was held at Maple Leaf Think Foods and it featured two chefs from each Delmanor Seniors Community, under the expert guidance of their Executive Chefs.

The event got started with five teams of two chefs that competed for the top three prizes.  The energy and enthusiasm that was felt in the kitchen was contagious as chefs chopped and prepped, while creating a variety of great aromas & detailed discussions regarding their final presentations.  Onlookers marveled at the skill and speed to which raw ingredients came to life in a beautiful artistic gift for the eye, while anticipation grew for the final tasting of the meals.

First Place Main Entree

All of the Delmanor Corporate Office Staff, along with General Managers & Executive Chefs were present from each community to participate in the event and to enjoy delicious appetizers that were provided by Maple Leaf and Toppits Foods.

Each of the teams chose a menu that incorporated a soup, an appetizer and a main dish that was worthy of fine dining for the Chef's to judge.  Each team was judged on the preparation process of the meals from beginning to end, with taste being the most important criteria!

Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the professional creations that came from the Delmanor Teams!  Having Chefs with such excuisite culinary talents creates meals for the Delmanor Seniors that are not only nutritious and delicious, but that create a fine dining experience for the Delmanor residents at each and every meal!
