Robbie Burns Celebration Luncheon at Delmanor Prince Edward

The fantastic staff of Delmanor Prince Edward surprised and delighted their residents and guests with Scotch whiskey and the 'Ode to a Haggis' Ceremony.  The legendary Scottish poet, Robbie Burns, was celebrated while the Haggis was piped in through the Kingsway Dining Room by a live Scottish Bag Piper.

The Scottish Dancers
Residents and guests were extremely grateful once again for the culinary talents from Chef Gaurav and his team for creating an inspiring luncheon featuring Scottish Potato Salad, Cock-a-Leekie Soup, Scotch Eggs, Seared Salmon with Tipsy Leek Sauce & spectacular Cranachan for dessert!

The mouth-watering luncheon honoring the famous poet of Scotland was complimented by a group of ladies and gentlemen from The Royal Scottish Country Dance Society performing the Scottish Country Dance in the Old Mill Lounge.  Scottish Country Dancing is the traditional dance of Scotland.  It is based upon ancient folk dances, mixed with elements of ballet, influences from the Royal Court of France, with some overlap with Highland Dancing.  It was a wonderful afternoon of amazing food, with energetic and vibrant entertainment celebrating Scotland's favourite son.
