Delmanor Wynford Winter Classic Lawn Bowling Tournament

Lawn bowling is an excellent sport for seniors since it isn't aerobic, but it requires flexibility and stamina to bend and stretch.  Lawn bowling requires the concentration and strategy of chess along with some of the characteristics of curling.

The Wintergreen Indoor Lawn Bowling club held the Delmanor Wynford Winter Classic Lawn Bowling Club with a full house of six teams.

The exciting day began at 9:15am with Monique Kuhn of Delmanor Wynford throwing the opening bowl.  The tournament format was two eight-end games in the morning, followed by two more eight- end games in the afternoon.  Players use only two bowls and the bowl closest to the jack wins the end.  Whoever achieves the most ends, wins the tournament!

The Delmanor Wynford Winter Classic was a huge success!  Everyone that participated in the event had a wonderful time and look forward to the next event at Wintergreen Indoor Lawn Bowling Club.
