Delmanor Glen Abbey Residents Share Random Acts of Kindness

The Random Act of Kindness initiative is an incentive to inspire people to practice kindness and pass it on to others.

The phrase may have originated from Anne Herbert who claims to have written a note on a restaurant place mat encouraging kindness and senseless acts of beauty, whether spontaneous or planned.

Delmanor Glen Abbey residents and staff attended the Friday Night Fish Fry at their local legion.  Since November is 'Random Acts of Kindness Month', the seniors decided to take scrumptious desserts for everyone that was attending the Fish Fry.

Much to the surprise of the residents and staff, an anonymous guest in attendance paid it forward by paying for all of the Delmanor meals in order to participate with their own act of kindness.

With much gratitude, the residents and staff decided to donate the money allocated for their meals directly back to the legion.  The day was a fantastic example of paying it forward and random acts of kindness.

The seniors found the event both warm and reassuring in the kindness that can be found in all of us.
