Delmanor Wynford Hosts a Hawaiian Luau

Delmanor Wynford residents, families and staff enjoyed a summer BBQ on the rooftop terrace, thanks to good friends and perfect weather.

The theme for the BBQ was Hawaiian.  The residents were adorned with leis as they entered the rooftop terrace.  Staff members were all dressed in grass skirts, leis, Hawaiian shirts and hilarious coconut bras.

Residents Min Yatabe and Dunc Duncan enjoying the sights and
sounds at the Hawaiian luau.

Residents enjoyed a Hawaiian themed lunch prepared by the Delmanor Wynford Chefs.  Following lunch, residents enjoyed an afternoon of Hawaiian dancing with eight lovely dancers from Siony's Dance Company.  The dancers made several costume changes throughout the afternoon and even had several residents dancing the hula!

Residents Bunty Ballentine and Jim Shortt adorned in Hawaiian leis.

The Delmanor Wynford Chefs prepared a wonderful Hawaiian BBQ lunch for the seniors, complete with a delicious assortment of salads, chicken breasts and sausages topped with mango and pineapple salsa.  For dessert, residents enjoyed fruit skewers and mango ice cream.

Marketing Manager, Pam Palmer, and Dining Room Assistant Supervisor,
Bob Kidd, dressed for the luau.

All of the residents thoroughly enjoyed their meal under the beautiful summer weathersun.  Everyone had a wonderful time at the Hawaiian luau and especially enjoyed learning the dances of Hawaii.  Aloha!
