Halloween,
the celebration of all things spooky and fun is a very special holiday at
Delmanor Northtown. So, as expected, on Friday, October 30th, the
spirit of Halloween was running rampant in the halls of the residence! From
the scary “Undead Bride” to the “Wild Gypsy” and “Purple Witch” to the tasty
“Can of Coke” and the “Michael Jackson” wanna-be, there was lots of laughter and thrills everywhere you looked!
Team
members and residents of Northtown truly know how to celebrate Halloween in
style, creating unique, spooky and one-of-a-kind costumes for the annual Halloween Costume Extravaganza! As the lunch hour passed, The Willowdale Lounge
was filled with residents, visitors and team members, all donning their best
costumes, hoping to win first prize for the costume competition! Some of the
fabulous costumes included: 'The Wizards’ Apprentice', 'Bingo Babe', The 'Biggest
Loser', 'Disco Mama', 'Majestic Geisha', 'Half Asleep, Half Awake', 'The Graduate',
'Micky Mouse' and many more!
As
the afternoon unfolded and everyone had a chance to show off their fantastic
costumes, three winners were especially happy to receive their prize of being the
best and most creative! The extravaganza was followed by the pumpkin carving
competition, where one lucky pumpkin appropriately named Jack O’Lantern won the
first prize.
The afternoon ended off
with a “Thriller” dance-off between residents and team members. Soon, everyone
was on their feet dancing and clapping along, enjoying the excitement in the
air and celebrating this fun holiday together! Hallowe'en was another example of the fun and festivities that are celebrated regularly at DelmanorNorthtown!
