Delmanor Elgin Mills hosted the annual fundraiser for the Richmond Hill Historical Society that consisted of an 'Antiques Road Show' style event serviced by David Beasley Auctions.
Residents and community guests brought their treasured heirlooms to learn if there was any historical significance in them, along with an appraisal of any potential value. Who doesn't love the idea of finding a hidden treasure buried in an attic that turns out to be a priceless artifact? Everyone in attendance loved hearing about their own antiques, and also seeing the wonderful variety of items that were brought to the event to share.
Included in the afternoon was a raffle for a gift basket that was donated by Delmanor Elgin Mills, and a "Rose Kessler Stories" book with a "Can You Guess What These Are?" game. Everyone loved watching David & Carol Beasley identify artifacts for the guests and listening to the wonderful history behind each item. Rose Kessler is a long-time resident of Richmond Hill who shared many interesting stories about their town.
The Richmond Hill Historical Society's Annual Fundraiser was a wonderful success! Delmanor Elgin Mills was thrilled to be a part of this fantastic opportunity. A great time was had by all!
