The Cardiac Health Foundation of Canada is
a charitable organization supporting cardiac rehabilitation, prevention and
education across Canada
raising $11 Million since 1965.
There is no denying it: exercise is good
for you! Whether you are a casual walker to the more serious, athletic walker
you will want to lace up those shoes and get moving – a lot! As well, Urban
Pole Walking can be enjoyed by everyone and is most popular amongst 55 to 75
year olds (with a large amount of happy, healthy 75 to 98 olds as well). The
reason for this is that most people in this age category already love to walk.
They walk socially, for fun or for exercise, so adding Poles simply makes
sense. Pole Walking makes walking more beneficial (increasing cardio and
calorie burn) and it actually takes less effort to do and is easier on the
body; lessening the impact when hitting the ground – on your back, hip, knee,
ankle and/or feet.
Join Delmanor’s residents, families and
team members on Saturday May 30th
as we participate in the WALK OF LIFE to raise funds and to enjoy a fun filled
active day.
You can donate by going to www.cardiachealth.ca and
registering under the team name Delmanor.
