Delmanor Elgin Mills Celebrates Seniors!

Delmanor Elgin Mills celebrated Seniors' Month by hosting a party in recognition of Delmanor's vibrant, active and fun seniors.

101 years young and going strong!

The stage was set with colourful decorations and entertainment provided by The Enchanting Steel Pan Duo Band.  The Caribbean theme was felt through out the residence as the steel drums vibrated and had the residents and guests dancing to the beat.

Dance contest
A friendly dance contest was held so that talent could be showcased along with all of the energy and enthusiasm of the Delmanor seniors and guests.  The energy in the room was electric!  Residents found themselves re-living times when dancing was one of the main forms of social interaction with friends and a time when wonderful memories were made.

Kelly, cheers!
The amazing winner of the contest was Ruth, who is 93 years young!  Congratulations Ruth on your inspiring energy and dance talent!  Residents then formed a conga line that seems to wind endlessly through the room.  The smiles and active participation by all guests were only small indicators of the fun and enjoyment that was had during this fantastic event.

Cheers with Mary
Celebrating Seniors' Month involved enthusiastic participation from the seniors which further added to the youthful energy that was felt by everyone in the room.  A great relief was felt as the mouth watering strawberry daiquiris and piña colada were passed around to the thirsty guests.

Raise the roof!
Delmanor would like to recognize and toast all of their amazing seniors and thank them for their contributions to the Delmanor Community and society.  Thank you Delmanor seniors for being you and celebrating with us!
