Toronto Maple Leafs Remembrance Day Tribute

The Toronto Maple Leafs honoured this 92nd Remembrance Day with a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who have served our country with bravery and valour.

One of Delmanor Elgin Mills' very own residents, Mr. Jack Wellsbury, was recognized for his service.

Mr. Wellsbury served in the Queen's Own Rifle Regiment during WW2.  This regiment was the leading wave in the D Day Invasion on June 6, 1944.  During the war, 393 Queen's Own were killed in battle, and a further 873 were wounded.

Everyone in attendance at the Air Canada Centre, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the entire viewing nation were moved by the tribute and honoured to be able to witness one of the extraordinary men & women who selflessly sacrificed so much in service to our great country.

The entire Delmanor Family are honoured to know Mr. Wellsbury and the many men & women who have served our country with dignity & respect.
