The
Toronto Maple Leafs honoured this
92nd Remembrance Day with a heartfelt tribute to the men and women who have served our country with bravery and valour.
One of
Delmanor Elgin Mills' very own residents,
Mr. Jack Wellsbury, was recognized for his service.
Mr. Wellsbury served in the
Queen's Own Rifle Regiment during WW2. This regiment was the leading wave in the
D Day Invasion on June 6, 1944. During the war, 393 Queen's Own were killed in battle, and a further 873 were wounded.
