Best Wishes to Glen Abbey's Marilyn!

Delmanor Glen Abbey is proud to be home to a growing and versatile number of residents. Strong bonds form in a home environment, strengthened by shared goals and great times. That is why it is especially bittersweet when a member of the Delmanor family moves on to a well-earned retirement.

Marilyn has been an incredible recreation manager, creating wonderful feats of entertainment and enrichment for almost ten years. In her time at Delmanor Glen Abbey, she helped residents flourish, fostering creativity and skills, as well as overcoming challenges with positivity and determination. She also worked with residents as well as staff not as a ‘cog in the machine’, but as a friend one could turn to for guidance and inspiration.

Marilyn has always held the biggest smile, and her energy was infectious. She could turn a rainy day inside into an afternoon at an indoor ‘beach’ and was always able to think on her toes to make the best of any situation. We knew as we wished her a tearful goodbye that her retirement would be more fun than rest, and her days will be filled with the same excitement that she brought to to Delmanor Glen Abbey each and every day.
