With Election day approaching and in order to prepare for the October 19th Federal Election, Delmanor Northtown held a party
representative assembly in the Northtown lounge for an all-candidates meeting for the residents.
The Northtown residents had the opportunity to listen to each party's stand on
current issues such as
Canada’s pension plan, pension splitting for
seniors, taxing the middle class, the development of green projects,
the vision of Canada in the years to come, transit, experienced
leadership and changes to the health care system.
Before
the vote, it was most helpful to have an opportunity to ask questions to understand the positions held by the Liberal,
Conservative and NDP parties directly from the Willowdale representatives themselves.
One of the many advantages of living in a community such as Delmanor Northtown is for residents to have access to programs, lectures and events, such as the candidates meeting, which helped the residents to make an educated difference and make their votes count!
