Ian Anderson House is Ontario’s first in-resident cancer hospice that offers without charge,
quality, end-of-life palliative care. Residents are cared for by trained medical professionals, for those
who, for whatever reason, cannot be given the necessary round-the-clock care in
their own homes. The House, therefore, is designed to create a homelike and
safe environment where residents receive round-the-clock care and support.
Delmanor Glen Abbey is pleased to support this important and crucial organization each
year through various fundraising initiatives. Such initiatives included,
various jewelry sales, marketing events, and card games. This year Delmanor Glen Abbey raised and amazing $1,599! A huge contributor to this success
goes to the Community Bridge group that comes to Delmanor Glen Abbey every two
weeks to play a friendly game of bridge, and in turn they provide support to one of the most beneficial support services in the community.
Way to go Delmanor Glen Abbey! Turning our daily routines and pastimes into fund raising opportunities sets a fantastic example for us all!
