The season of Advent begins on December 1st in the Catholic Church and is the season devoted to the preparation for Christmas.

The ladies of the Catholic Women's League from St. Bonaventure Church held an Advent Tea to celebrate advent and to recognize a number of the long time members of St. Bonaventure. The tables were adorned with crisp linens, fine china and silverware.

The ladies indulged themselves with delightful sandwiches, scones, fresh pastries and a selection of refreshing teas, while listening intently to the guest speaker. Mrs. Anne Jamieson, a young mother of four teenagers lead a reflection on Mother Mary's extraordinary advent journey and spoke about "what can be brought to life in you?"

The guests enjoyed fun table games after the guest speaker and a number of lucky ladies took home wonderful gifts, flowers and prizes!
