On March 9th, the gentlemen at
Delmanor Glen Abbey had their first ever
Men's Day!
|
The Lunchbucket Club |
48 men attended this event in
The Players Lounge for a luncheon that was hosted by
Glen Abbey Executive Chef Mark and their
Environmental Manager, Ted.
St. Johns United Church joined in on the fun with 10 gentlemen members in attendance along with the
Lunch Bucket Club. The seniors were given blessings by Glen Abbey's own
Reverend Ted Kersey and warmly welcomed by
Paul Erikson, one of Glen Abbey's first residents.
|
Mr. Patterson, Mr. Erikson & Mr. Gregg |
The fun continued after lunch with games of pool, cribbage & poker. And what men's event would be complete without a James Bond film in the theatre.
The day was such a huge success that the retirement community has already begun planning the second Men's Day in June!
